About Jaycee Payne

Owner of Delicate Decisions

For 16 years, I’ve had the privilege of working closely with seniors and their families. My first job at 16 years old was in a memory care unit and it shaped my entire career. I am a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant with a wide range of experience across multiple settings. My passion is helping seniors regain strength, confidence, and independence after life-changing events.

Over the years in senior care, I’ve witnessed the hardships families face, the speed at which decisions must be made, and how these decisions can impact family dynamics. Aside from being an OT clinician, I wanted to do more for our seniors and decided to be an all encompassing resource as a senior care advisor. I believe finding the right home is about more than care — it’s about maintaining independence, dignity, connection, and quality of life. I’m committed to listening, educating families on their options, providing trusted resources, and guiding them every step of the way to ensure their loved one finds the right place to call home.

When I’m not helping families navigate the aging journey, I’m spending time with my own family. I’m married to my best friend and am a proud mom of two. We love being active, spending time outdoors, and making the most of every season together. Family is at the heart of everything I do, and I bring that same level of care, compassion, and personal connection to every family I have the honor of serving.

Reviews + Testimonials

"Our Dad was having trouble at one of those corporate run facilities. We needed professional help. What we got was an amazing human! Jaycee "interviewed" many many places in a week, so we could find the right place for our dad, a veteran. My dad finally feels respected and has his dignity back at a trying time in his life. He can be proud again, which is worth more than anything! We are so thankful for this team's heart to serve those that have trouble serving themselves. Mahalo mahalo mahalo! "

"Jaycee jumped hoops to help our dear neighbor get settled into his new life of Senior Care. it was an emotional walk thru to find the right place for him. She asks all the right questions and didn't back out when delays occurred. She doesn't just do the work she genuinely cares and follows up to make sure things are going well. Thank you so much Jaycee for guiding us through this difficult change of course."

"When my aunt’s health changed quickly and she could no longer live independently, Jaycee took the time to truly listen to her fears, needs, and wishes. She  guided our family with compassion, helped connect us to resources we never knew existed, and made sure my aunt was involved every step of the way.

Her care went far beyond “just a job.” She genuinely cared about my aunt’s safety, happiness, and well-being, and kept our family informed throughout the entire process. I can’t thank her enough for the love, support, and guidance she  gave us during such a difficult time. I would trust her with the people I love most. 🧡"

"Jaycee at Delicate Decisions might be the best thing that happened to use during this entire process of care for my elderly mother with Parkinsons and Dementia. Jaycee not only was extremely professional and knowledgeable, but was a blessing because she truly made us feel loved and cared for. Meeting us in person at different sites and asking detailed questions to the facilities that we never would have thought to ask. I cannot recommend her enough to anyone in the Utah area that needs help and guidance with assisted living and care for family members."
